KaBloom pins new concept on changing consumers

WOBURN, Mass. - Floral chain KaBloom has installed self-serve flower kiosks in every conceivable place - from convenience stores to post offices - in an effort to make flower purchases a habit with consumers. Currently the kiosks require users to pay a cashier, but later this summer KaBloom plans to introduce stand-alone kiosks that will accept cash or credit card payments, and will also have an Internet function for placing orders and sending gifts.
