iPatientCare launches patient kiosk for Physician’s Offices

June 19, 2014

iPatientCare, a developer of mHealth and cloud-based ambulatory EHR (electronic health records), integrated practice management and patient portal solutions, has launched a secure patient kiosk for physician's offices.

The iPatientCare Patient Kiosk streamlines the patient visit from check-in to payment, while its integration with the iPatientCare EHR system improves the security and privacy of sensitive patient information, the company says.

The kiosk helps patients take control of their own healthcare with a dashboard view of all their personal information, including a complete health maintenance plan. It captures forms with signatures and driver's license images or other documents to complete a patient's profile, while the system tracks the number of registered patients waiting for service.

“In around two minutes, the kiosk enables patients to check in securely, pay their co-pay, update and correct personal information and get an alert if there is any mistake or payment overdue,” John Bartley, iPatientCare’s chief medical director, said in a statement. “iPatientCare improves workflow for practices and saves time and money.”

“Physicians practices always look for ways to reduce costs while increasing patient satisfaction,” Arnaz Bharucha, iPatientCare’s senior technology officer, said in a statement. “Whether checking-in, registering as a new patient, or scheduling an appointment, patients will navigate easily through the system and the office will substantially reduce waiting times”.
