An unnamed Los Angeles inventor has developed an automated recycling kiosk designed to process nontoxic materials while producing compost topsoil and purified water, according to a press release.

The inventor said the concept behind the system, called the "Young Invention," is to encourage communities to adopt a stronger sustainability mindset through self-service recycling technology.

The machine is intended to support sustainable waste management and environmental conservation by converting recyclable materials into usable resources. In addition to generating compost and filtered water, the system would reward users with credits toward their energy bills in exchange for recycling participation. The inventor said the eco-friendly design is intended to be simple to operate for municipalities, commercial properties, recycling centers and other public-facing locations.

The invention was submitted to the Los Angeles sales office of InventHelp and is available for licensing or sale to manufacturers and marketers. Prototype models and technical drawings are available upon request, according to the company.
