Aramark Sports and Entertainment has installed self-service concession stand kiosks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The "Refreshments Express" concession stand will have 10 self checkout Olea kiosks powered by TapIn2 software to enable fans to scan and pay for concession items, according to a press release.
Aramark has previously deployed Olea kiosks with similar software other stadiums across the U.S.
The self-service concession stand functions like a grab-and-go market and is a one-direction alignment. Drink coolers, snacks and some pass through shelves for hot items are lined up in a way that streamlines the self-checkout process. If customers are seeking alcoholic beverages, they must wait for an attendant to check their ID before the purchase can be approved.
