A temple trust in Tirumala, India, has begun accepting donations through kiosk machines, according to a Hans India report.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has reported receiving ₹55 lakh (approximately $67,000 US) in donations over a 50-day period through a kiosk machine located at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasadam Complex.

These kiosks allow devotees to donate between ₹1 and ₹1 lakh ($1.25 to $1,250 US) to the TTD's SV Anna Prasadam Trust, which provides free meals to those in need. The machines offer a convenient and cashless way to donate.

TTD plans to expand the kiosk program to other temples, including Tiruchanur Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple, Vontimitta Kodanda Rama Temple and Srivari Temple in Bengaluru. They also aim to enable kiosk donations for all TTD services in the future.
