The Salem, India railway division has installed a body mass index kiosk at a railway station to allow passengers to check their height, weight and body mass index for free, according to a Times of India report.
U Subba Rao, division railway manager, said the kiosk will display passenger safety information and information about the railway, the weather and commercial advertisements.
The kiosks will allow users to enter their mobile phone numbers to receive information via text on required water intake based on their BMIs.
There will be as many as 13 kiosks at 11 rail stations, Rao said.
