MedPredict, a healthcare technology startup based in Faridabad, India, has raised $100,000 in a pre-series funding round to advance development of its AI-powered healthcare platform, MediElaj. The company said the investment will be used to accelerate smart healthcare kiosk development, including kiosk prototyping, healthcare device integration, cloud infrastructure and software development. The funding will also support pilot deployments and preparation for broader commercialization, according to a Digital Health News report.
Founded in 2023 by Debjit Patra and Umesh Khatri, MedPredict is building a connected healthcare ecosystem centered on AI-enabled kiosks and mobile applications. The kiosks are designed to provide non-invasive health screenings, AI-assisted diagnostics, conversational healthcare guidance and access to digital health records, allowing users to receive basic health assessments.
The company said its kiosk model is intended to improve healthcare access in smaller cities, rural communities and other underserved areas where medical resources may be limited. In addition to the new funding, the founders said they have invested nearly $500,000 of their own capital into developing the platform, kiosk infrastructure and supporting technologies. MedPredict plans to expand manufacturing capabilities for kiosk production, strengthen cybersecurity and AI systems, and build partnerships to support nationwide deployment of its healthcare kiosks across India.
