India developing biometric ATM for remote villages

Hindu.com: AGT Electronics, based in Coimbatore, India, is developing a self-service, biometric, Linux-based, cash-dispensing machine. If the ongoing project is successful, a resident in a remote village may walk to an automated cash dispenser nearby, use a touchscreen kiosk and collect the amount of cash desired.
