Impulsify introduces self-pay kiosks for hotel gift shops

Nov. 10, 2017

Impulsify Inc. has introduced ShopPoP, a self-pay kiosk designed for unattended retail purchases at hotel pantries or gift shops, according to hospitalitynet.org. The kiosk enables guests to scan and pay for items rather than standing in the check-in line at the front desk.

Guests select an item, scan the product UPC using an integrated barcode scanner, and charge it to a room or pay by credit card using the Ingenico I285, unattended certified credit card terminal that accepts chip, swipe, tap and Android/Apple Pay. The guest can print the receipt at the kiosk or have the receipt emailed.

ShopPoP is the guest facing version of ImpulsePoint, Impulsify's hotel retail management system.
