Hawthorne Race Course will receive new wagering technology by Sportech Racing and Digital, according to a Sportech release.

The Atlanta-based company is to provide Hawthorne with a "G4 Internet wagering framework, a new Digital Link mobile suite, and the new Sportech Kiosk for self-service account setup, funding and cashing." The Stickney, Illinois-based race track is the first North American client to receive Sportech's latest self-service gambling station.

"We at Hawthorne Race Course have worked with Sportech for decades so we have a long relationship, but we were also very impressed with their new technologies and with the design and technical details that make their new digital products so appealing," said Tim Carey, Hawthorne's president and general manager, in the announcement. "We look to expand distribution of our account wagering services with the new Sportech Kiosk, and to deliver a better wagering experience for our players with the Digital Link mobile suite and the next-generation self-service terminals."
