Two hotel brands, both part of the GLH Hotels Management Group in the U.K., recently deployed a kiosk solution across their more than 30 hotels.
Guoman and Thistle hotels identified a need for greater technology access among visitors. European touchscreen self-service kiosk solution provider Protouch Solutions set up hardware, support services and kiosk software management to provide guests full-service technology amenities out of the home.
Protouch also installed touchscreen monitors, keyboards and mouses, MS Office 2013, Internet and printer access, social apps and USB capabilities as part of the solution.
Hotel staff will be alerted to problems with the system via a feature that notifies users when paper is low or when a cash box has been removed. To protect the privacy of guests, the hotels' new network includes automatic history deletion and return to original formatting after each use.
