High-speed Internet to enter 70 store-in-stores

August 24, 2003

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. and ATLANTA -- Wireless Retail Inc. and Cox Communications Inc. announced the availability of Cox Communications High Speed Internet Service at nearly 70 wireless retail store-in-a-store locations in Sam's Clubs, BJ's Wholesale Clubs, Menards and other major retailers located in Cox markets.

Wireless Retail is the nation's largest provider of outsourced retail sales solutions for service-based consumer electronic products, according to a news release.

Chris Cagle, the company's vice president of marketing and communications, said, "We continually evaluate and seek opportunities to expand our product offerings to benefit our retail partners and their customers. Cox's broadband services are a natural extension that builds upon our offering of service-based technology products."

Said Steve Asbell, manager of retail business development for Cox Communications, "Wireless Retail's convenient locations in our geographic footprint make it easy for consumers to learn about Cox High-Speed Internet where they like to shop."

Wireless Retail pioneered the store-in-a-store model, placing professionally trained sales consultants in consumer friendly fixtures inside retail partners' stores to leverage existing traffic.

According to the terms of the agreement, WRI will initially sell Cox High-Speed Internet with possible plans to include Cox's video and telephony offerings later.
