HealthSpot kiosk now offering behavioral health services

May 7, 2013

Medical services offered on the HealthSpot kiosk now include behavioral health, according to medcitynews.com. The company partnered with Netsmart to add the behavioral health support to its network, the article reported.

In an interview with MedCity News, HealthSpot CEO Steve Cashman said employers and health systems are its biggest customers and views community access centers, schools and family health centers as other growth areas.

The company has already $10.45 million to expand its business, Cashman said. He currently has orders to deploy 150 units, with 20 expected to go live in the next 45 days. Cashman sees his solution as adding value to the consumer experience of technology, according to the article.

"About 51 percent of people don't have a primary care physician. There are all these gaps in care ... The biggest challenge is having the right care at the right time and place for the right patient," Cashman said.
