Healthnotes launches new version of kiosk software

PORTLAND -- Healthnotes Inc. announced the release of version 7.7 of Healthnotes Retail Solutions, which includes touchscreen kiosk and Web applications that offer shoppers healthy living information at the point of decision in-store and online.

Version 7.7 includes expanded content, including more than 60 new articles covering the hot topics of weight control and sports and fitness, an updated staff-training program, and an enhanced category management report, according to a news release.

In addition, the Healthnotes Healthy Living and Healthnotes Pharmacy kiosk products feature a new, simplified main screen with user instructions, and nine targeted Health Centers to help shoppers find relevant information more quickly.

The new products will be available to customers at the end of September. Pricing varies, depending on the quantity of software subscriptions or Web licenses purchased, the release said.

Healthnotes Retail Solutions includes five department-specific applications for touchscreen kiosks and the Web. Each product has touch points (buttons) customized to the department, allowing the retailer to choose which products to display based on the location of the kiosk in-store or section of the Web site where the information is featured. This allows retailers to place multiple kiosks in their stores.
