Healthnotes, KIS launch info kiosk

February 10, 2004

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Healthnotes Inc., a provider of consumer information on health and lifestyle issues, and Louisville, Colo.-based Kiosk Information Systems are launching an interactive kiosk system designed for supermarket, pharmacy and natural product store customers.

According to an article in the Portland News Journal, Healthnotes branded the new kiosk the EasyAnswers Touchscreen, and will sell it to retailers bundled with its kiosk software products, Healthnotes Healthy Living and Healthnotes Pharmacy.

Pennsylvania-based Clemens Family Markets is the first store to make the EasyAnswers Touchscreen available for its shoppers, incorporating the new kiosks in 20 of its 21 suburban Philadelphia locations, the article said.

Healthnotes' Healthy Living and Healthnotes Pharmacy provide consumers with basic, science-based information on health concerns, supplements, foods, nutrition, special diets and weight control, as well as hundreds of recipes.

Healthnotes Pharmacy also features information on over-the-counter and prescription medications. The articles and recipes can be printed directly from the kiosk.
