Hands-only CPR instruction kiosks installed at California airport

December 11, 2017

Three kiosks that instruct people on how to perform hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation have been installed at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, California, according to ABC 7.

The free kiosks instruct users on how to compress a human chest on a rubber dummy. The user receives a score at the end of the test along with instructions on how to improve their score.

The American Heart Association claims 90 percent of patients who have cardiac arrest outside of a hospital die because they don't receive CPR immediately.
