QUINCY, Mass., and NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Obtaining hard-to-find grocery items will become easier for customers at Stop & Shop grocery stores throughout New England thanks to a new kiosk program the company is launching with online retailer Netgrocer.
Netgrocer will launch its Endless Aisle program through in-store kiosks and on Stop & Shop's Web site in March. The test program offers specialty items that are not regularly available in stores. In-store customers can use the kiosk to find items that are not available in the store and pay for them. The items are then shipped to the customer's home through FedEx.
"We are continuously exploring opportunities to use technology to enhance our customers' shopping experience and expand our one-stop shopping service," March Smith, Stop & Shop president and chief executive officer, said in a news release.
Stop & Shop operates 320 stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island.
