Giant Eagle grocer gets new self-scan systems

Post-Gazette (Pittsburgh): North Huntingdon's Giant Eagle grocery store - no relation to Giant Foods, which recently launched its own titanic self-service initiative - has added hand-held scanners that allow shoppers to scan products as they go, speeding up the checkout process.
