Marcus Covaci, 20, of Gettysburg, has been arrested and charged with placing skimming devices on self-checkout registers at Walmart stores in Gettysburg and Lower Allen Township, Pennsylvania, according to a Fox 43 report. Covaci and a juvenile accomplice allegedly installed a skimmer at a Lower Allen Township Walmart on Feb. 5 and at a Gettysburg Walmart, where they were apprehended. The devices were discovered by store employees.

Surveillance footage reportedly shows Covaci obstructing the register's camera while the juvenile installed the skimmer. Covaci faces felony charges including unlawful use of a computer, theft by deception and access device fraud, as well as a misdemeanor charge of corruption of minors. He is currently held in Adams County Prison, with preliminary hearings scheduled for March 19. The juvenile accomplice has been charged in both cases.
