Future Image and CTIA to offer mobile imaging seminar

November 1, 2004

SAN MATEO, Calif. - Future Image Inc will produce and host a one-day seminar on Mobile Imaging at the CTIA WIRELESS 2005 event in New Orleans, March 14-16, 2005. The seminar, entitled Mobile Imaging Perspectives, will focus on the opportunities and challenges emerging from the growth in sales of camera-enabled cell phones, according to a news release.

Camera phone sales have more than doubled every year since their introduction - from fewer than one million in 2000 to 180 million this year. The increase last year was 350 percent. Early studies indicate that camera-phone users take more than twice as many pictures as digital or film camera users.

Future Image publishes two continuous information services, the Future Image Executive Information Service, and the Future Image Mobile Imaging Report, as well as studies on the impact of emerging imaging-focused technologies or business trends. Recent topics include print capabilities of camera phones and the adoption of consumer kiosks and print services.

The Future Image seminar will bring industry leaders together to discuss mobile image capture opportunities for carriers, wireless and Internet service providers, application developers, system integrators and resellers; as well as the challenges mobile image capture raises for technology buyers and enterprise end users.

Future Image will also coordinate a Wireless Imaging Pavilion on the show floor. The Wireless Imaging Pavilion will provide the latest innovations in wireless imaging technologies self-service printing solutions, mobile imaging devices, and mobile imaging content.
