Fujitsu delivers new thermal printer series

Fujitsu Components America Inc. has released a new low profile 24V thermal printer, called the FTP 6xGMCL series, according to a press release by Fujitsu.

The printers are designed to work with self-service technology such as ATMs, kiosks, gas pumps and POS systems. They can be placed into panels or used as standalone devices. The FTP-6xGMCL series has two separate mechanisms, one with a 2-inch print width and another with 3-inch print widths. Both mechanisms have a printing speed of 200 mm/sec.

The 2-inch FTP-62GMCL mechanism is currently priced at $31 when ordered in 1,000-piece quantities.
