Fresh Healthy Vending International, a San Diego-based healthy vending franchisor, said it ended March 2014 with sales bookings of 96 Fresh Healthy Vending machines to six new and two existing franchisees, as well as a sale to an existing corporate partner.
At the end of its third quarter to March 31, 2014, Fresh Healthy Vending had total sales bookings for 187 machines approximating $1,873,000 in anticipated future revenues. This represents an increase of 54 machines or $467,850 in anticipated future revenues when compared to the third quarter of last year.
The new business owners who purchased Fresh Healthy Vending franchises in March 2014 will own and operate machines in their respective territories in Florida, Michigan, Nevada, Connecticut, Virginia, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
"The immense opportunity that lies within the healthy vending industry right now is clear," new Fresh Healthy Vending franchisee Jason Harris said in a company announcement. "The concept is booming."
Harris became a Fresh Healthy Vending franchisee in March 2014 and now owns and operates 13 Fresh Healthy Vending machines in Hawaii.
Included in the sales completed in March, was the sale of 10 Fresh Healthy Vending combo machines to a 2014 Super Bowl Champion, the Seattle Seahawks' Michael Robinson. The Seattle Seahawks' fullback will use his Fresh Healthy Vending franchise, Healthy Treats, to complement his youth-oriented foundation Excel to Excellence.
"We've booked 187 and 178 machines sales representing approximately $1,873,000 and $1,861,000 in anticipated future revenues during our third and second quarters of this fiscal year," company CFO Mark Cole said. "These appear to be the initial results from the restructuring activities that we undertook during our first fiscal quarter, and we expect to begin realizing increases in revenues in future quarters as we execute and deliver machines against these sales bookings. March 2014 was the best single month of sales in over two years for the company."
