Ford Motor Company has deployed interactive digital signage kiosks in about 1,900 dealerships as part of the "Truth About Trucks" effort by Ford to inform consumers and sales people about the Ford F-150 truck, according to an AutoNews article.

At a cost of $5,000 each, the kiosks promote the trucks' fuel efficiency, improved capabilities and explain why Ford chose an aluminum body over steel. For stores that achieved "truck month" sales goals in September and October 2014, Ford is footing about 70 percent of kiosk costs.

"As much as we like to believe, as salespeople, that we're fonts of knowledge about everything, it's a lot to remember, and we've got other vehicles," said Bob Wheat, general manager of Village Ford in Dearborn, Michigan, in the article.
