Flowbird Group, an urban technology services provider, will upgrade all 35 of its parking kiosks in St. Pete Beach, Florida with 9-inch full color touchscreen displays. The kiosks will be converted from a black exterior to a custom blue and teal design that reflects the city's brand and welcoming message. The design is being released at the same time that the Flowbird app is being introduced to the beach destination, according to a press release.

The design transforms the kiosks from a parking pay station to a decorative piece fit for a tourist destination. The custom printed wraps, designed and installed by Flowbird, display the iconic "Best of the Best" TripAdvisor surfboard printed on the back and the city's branding on all sides. The design also features the new way to pay with the Flowbird app.

"The wraps are beautiful and functional," Michelle Gonzales, community development director, said in the release. "It's a small detail, but it upholds our branding and contributes to the continuation of our reputation as the best beach in the nation."

The app is GPS-enabled which allows users to search for the nearest parking lot and select their parking location without manually inputting a zone code.

If a beach-goer finds themselves waiting in line at a newly designed kiosk, they can follow the instructions listed on the side of the unit to download and start using the app.

The touchscreen displays and kiosk wraps are being installed and are expected to be completed this month.
