April Fool's!
Kodak joined in on the April Fool's Day fun with the "launch" of its new wearable photo kiosk.
Here's Kodak's pitch for its new product:
Today we introduce the world's first Kodak Wrist Kiosk. All the functionality of a full-size Kodak Picture Kiosk in a compact wearable wrist device.
In just seconds, you can make real Kodak quality digital prints and reductions — right at the end of your arm. It has never been easier to make your life's biggest moments into tiny prints and photo gifts.
Upload your photos to the Kodak Wrist Kiosk via a micro SD card, USB or Bluetooth. It is also Wi-Fi enabled so you can access your photos on Facebook, Flickr, Instagram and more.
The Kodak Wrist Kiosk is perfect for all your minature photo needs. Lockets, doll house posters, even photo realistic nail art!
Each Kodak Wrist Kiosk comes with tweezers and a magnifying glass to assist with the handling of the small scaled prints, photo cards and photo books.
As for the renderings, they make the product look (almost) believable.
Kodak joins Google, Sony and Virgin Airlines among the growing list of big business trickery popping up online. Bottom line: Beware of the Internet today. Happy April Fool's!
