FDA bans self-service sale of cigarettes

NACSonline.com reportsthat Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Margaret Hamburg held a press conference yesterday to go over the final rules regulating the sale of tobacco. One of them prohibits the sale of cigarettes or smokeless tobacco products through self-service devices. All retailers must be in compliance with these new regulations by June 22, 2010.
