Ex-Gov. Blago leaves info kiosks behind in Springfield, Ill.

According to The (Sprngfield, Ill.) State Journal-Register, two new — and unexpected — information and wayfinding kiosks in downtown Springfield came courtesy of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Downtown Springfield Inc. plans to unveil the web-based informational kiosks near the Prairie Capital Convention Center and near Union Station and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum.

Funding for the kiosks appears to have come from an un-asked-for grant for downtown improvement in one of the notorious ex-governor's last sparring matches with the state legislature over capital spending.
