Evoke, Star Micronics showcase self-service ordering kiosk at Restaurant Tech Live

This week at Restaurant Tech Live in London, Evoke Creative is teaming with Star Micronics to demonstrate their self-service ordering kiosk solution, the companies said in a press release.

Evoke recently developed the kiosk concept on behalf of McDonald's. For this project, the company designed an adaptable modular product range capable of handling multiple hardware options from the diverse markets where McDonald's operates.

Evoke turned to Star for a receipt printer that could handle the demanding environment in which the kiosk operates. The encased TSP700II printer offers ease of operation in high-value kiosk applications, while providing the same level of performance as an open-frame printer, the release said.

"We needed a reliable, effective printing solution and Star printers were able to provide the perfect model, which also fits within our design for tool-free replacement of internal components and fuss-free changing of printer rolls," Evoke Technical Director Dean Ward said in the release. "As the primary supplier to McDonald's UK stores it was essential for us to source components which could be produced in bulk and work every time, Star printers are our go-to for these projects. We look forward to demonstrating the kiosk for McDonald's at Restaurant Tech Live on the Star stand."
