EPI-USE and Wincor-Nixdorf partner in employee self-service kiosk

November 22, 2010

Wincor Nixdorf and EPI-USE have set up a strategic partnership to market Wincor Nixdorf’s kiosk solution for business software provider SAP's Human Capital Management (HCM) around the world.

According to a Wincor Nixdorf release, EPI-USE is the world’s leading independent specialist for the SAP module HCM. The company markets, integrates and maintains Employee Self Service solutions (ESS), which ensure that employees without their own PC workstations have secure, user-friendly access to decentralized personnel processes at their companies through self-service terminals. ESS solutions allow users to make vacation requests, change their home addresses, or print out their timesheets or payroll statements, according to Wincor Nixdorf.

"Owing to its technical architecture and functionality, we think Wincor Nixdorf’s kiosk solution is the outstanding solution in the area of SAP ESS for the majority of industrial employees," said Thomas Scharsack, founder and managing director of EPI-USE Germany.

The solution enables every employee at a company to be included in local personnel processes in a simple, user-friendly fashion. This is particularly important for employees in production or other departments who do not normally spend their working days at a workstation with their own PCs.

"The systems feature comprehensive security functions, robust, tried-and-tested hardware and intuitive touch screen processes that build on SAP HCM's standard scenarios," Scharsack said. "They offer an optimal basis for a secure, future-proof investment decision for our customers, who are spread across 150 countries."

"EPI-USE is the ideal partner for us as we seek to expand worldwide sales of our ESS kiosk solution. The hardware is simple to install, and the systems can be set up by our sales companies anywhere in the world. Beyond that, our customers expect SAP HCM-specific consulting, software configuration and adaptation, and the optimization of the dialog at the kiosk itself," said Werner Hermeling, global product manager for ESS kiosk solutions at Wincor Nixdorf.
