When Maxine Pittman had a hard time finding beauty products while she was traveling for her corporate job, she decided to do something about it, according to an atlantablackstar.com report. She created Tress Obsessed, vending machines specializing in travel-sized beauty supplies for Black women such as weaving needles.
She spent between $40,000 to $50,000 on the business, including the machines, the inventory, customer contracts and marketing.
Tress Obsessed currently can be found at the the Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, California, Del Amo Mall in Torrance, California and Tanger outlets in Phoenix, Arizona.
She plans to expand to Atlanta, Las Vegas and more locations.
