August 20, 2014

Biometric identification technologies provider Neurotechnology has launched its latest software solution, NCheck Biometric Time and Attendance 2.1, according to a company announcement.

NCheck is able to track an employee's time and attendance using face and fingerprint biometrics, eliminating the need for RFID tokens, PINs and passwords, the company said. Software users can check in and out on Windows PCs and webcams, Android camera devices, fingerprint scanners and attendance kiosks. Attendance data is viewable via a Web browser.

NCheck's functionality includes:

  • Fingerprint and face recognition support – users can be identified using fingerprints or faces.
  • Support for Android devices – Both face and fingerprint recognition now can be used in off-the shelf Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Google Nexus 7.
  • Custom reporting capabilities – Time and attendance system administrators can now create their own custom reports for better integration with existing payroll systems.
  • Web user interface – Time and attendance system users can conveniently access attendance data via a Web browser and review historical check-in and check-out data.
