Electronics company RFEL recently rolled out its new video management solution for Video-over-Internet-Protocol systems. This solution is designed as part of a family of devices and attempts to consolidate multiple analog sensors into Video-over-IP displays and nodes, according to a press release.

The first product, FlexNet-2, is designed in a waterproof small form factor housing and can accept four analog input video channels. It can also map the input video to an ethernet output and allows overlay options for symbols, text and graphics.

"Today's tight platform upgrade cycles are driving system integrators' timescales and pushing them to search for off-the-shelf solutions to deployment problems such as quickly gluing legacy sensor video sources to modern video demand IP networks or consolidating interfacing adaption, media conversion and compression in one SWAP, qualified unit," said Wayne Cranwell, business development manager for video processing, RFEL. "Offering optical fibre support in our first FlexNet product is a direct message to those developers that this product will be ready to go without integration hassle."

The product is designed to be ergonomic and has a power consumption of eight Watts. RFEL also plans to extend the FlexNet line with a smaller single channel HD player before the end of 2015.
