Dubai information kiosks deployed in several metros have recently recorded more than 900,000 uses, according to areport by The Gulf Today.

The kiosks, deployed by the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, supply a variety of information such as maps, timetables, code of conduct and fare information. The kiosks also provide English and Arabic as language options. RTA Rail Agency CEO Abdullah Yousef Al Ali said these kiosks were crafted to meet the needs of every user.

"Launching the Metro Smart Information Kiosks is in line with the vision of our prudent leadership to transform Dubai into the smartest city in the world within three years," Al Ali said. "These kiosks were therefore contemplated and introduced to meet the needs of the metro riders, offering them all-round information about the use of the metro and the smooth travel experience between various stations."
