Digital signs coming to 1,200 banks in Mexico

May 7, 2007

DULUTH, Ga. — Wegener Corp., provider of equipment for television, audio and data distribution networks, announced a new order from SSL (Satellite Store Link) to launch networked digital signage in Mexico. Wegener's equipment will be used to dynamically distribute and display information and advertisements to bank customers and employees in an initial deployment of 1,200 locations throughout Mexico.

SSL's order was received during Wegener's current third quarter of fiscal 2007 and is valued at $3.2 million. Shipments are scheduled for delivery during Wegener's third and fourth quarters of fiscal 2007. Wegener's digital signage solution for SSL includes iPump Media Servers, IP-based peripheral decoders and COMPEL network control for live or store-forward content. Unique programming content for individual retail departments, regions or stores can be distributed and updated by central network operators. Employees at display locations do not have to manage or interact with the receivers — functions and upgrades are scheduled and managed remotely from the COMPEL network control system at the central operations center.
