Marketnews.ca: According to data released by the Canadian Imaging Trade Association, Canadian consumers continue to embrace digital photography, with growth rates exceeding manufacturer and distributor expectations.
CITA reports that digital camera prices have gone down, while capabilities and performance have increased; and Canadian retailers are finding that more and more prints are being made from digital pictures, either by memory card, do-it-yourself kiosks, or online print-making services.
Further, CITA says that digital camera sales represent more than 92 percent of all still-camera sales in Canada, up significantly from the 67 percent recorded in 2003.
