Detroit Metropolitan Airport recently installed 30 new Automated Passport Control kiosks for international travelers, according to the Detroit News.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection held a demonstration on the use of the APC kiosks, which were designed to reduce passenger wait time by 25 to 40 percent. Travelers are to enter personal information at the self-service stations now instead of declaring items via a printed form, the article said.
