Dan's Camera City enhances offerings for scrapbookers

VIENNA, Va. - Just in time for National Scrapbooking Day on May 6,Dan's Camera City added a new scrapbooking destination to its Allentown, Pa., photofinishing store, outfitting it with new Lucidiom Automated Photo machines.    

Dan's Camera City now carries three Luci scrapbooking kiosks from Lucidiom, as well as 23 other Lucidiom APMs. The Luci kiosks print in a range of sizes, from 4x6 inches to 12x12 inches with custom-designed templates expressly tailored for scrapbooking. 

Customers can eliminate red eyes, enhance color, crop and add text to their photos printed through Lucidiom's APMs so that they get the exactly the photo, enlargement or scrapbook page they want. Plus, with the kiosks' scanning capabilities, customers can make digital copies of their paper scrapbook albums and kids' artwork in order to make quick duplicate albums for family and friends.

"The scrapbooking section of our store compliments our customer-focused environment. We strive to create an interactive and fun customer experience," said Dan's Camera City chief executive Mike Woodland. "Dan's DigiPrint Lounge debuted in May 2005 with immediate success and glowing accolades. We built a coffeehouse-style setting for our Lucidiom APMs, a children's play area, and wheelchair accessible ordering stations. We even added in free wireless Internet access and complimentary beverages to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our customers."
