WOONSOCKET, R.I. - Seeking to raise awareness of women's health issues in a fast-paced world, CVS/pharmacy's (NYSE:CVS) Healthy Women program will provide free information through a variety of electronic means in February and March.
The information will be available at the company's Web site and also through kiosks located at 1,900 CVS/pharmacy locations nationally.
The "Lift" program is designed to raise women's energy levels through natural means. Highlights include information on the effects of caffeine and junk food, nutritious foods, the benefits of light exercise, and other resources for maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
The kiosks, located near each pharmacy's beauty counter, also include information on holistic wellness methods.
"Women are our core customers, and our Healthy Women program is a logical step in our effort to give women the products and information that will help them lead happier and healthier lives," Helena Foulkes, CVS/pharmacy vice president of marketing, said in a news release.
