CVS launches mobile app for photo printing

August 27, 2012

Smartphone users now have another option for printing photos stored on their mobile devices. CVS/Pharmacy announced last week a new feature to both the CVS mobile app and CVSphoto.com that allows customers to send their photos to any CVS location for same-day printing and pick-up.

With 30 percent of all photos being taken on smartphones, the new app marks CVS/Pharmacy's goal for better convenience and customer service, the announcement said.

"We believe our commitment to innovation within the mobile space and this latest offering will inspire customers to capture more memories and help people preserve them from wherever they are and at any time," said Rob Price, senior vice president of marketing and CMO for CVS/pharmacy, in the announcement.

As part of the launch, now through Aug. 31 users can print 50 photos for just $5, or 10 cents per print.
