CTL, a leader in cloud-computing solutions, has launched its Chromebox Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) device, the CTL Chromebox OPS OPx1-3, according to a press release. This compact computing device is designed to transform interactive displays into ChromeOS devices, integrating seamlessly into existing panels to leverage Google's ecosystem for education and business while simplifying IT management.

The CTL Chromebox OPS OPx1-3 aims to modernize display technology for various sectors, including schools, enterprises and healthcare providers. It offers an Intel i3 processor, UHD 4K support, Wi-Fi 6E and multiple connectivity ports, enabling robust performance for demanding applications.

"Schools and businesses are ready to unleash their interactive displays and embrace the power of Google's integrated ecosystem — workspace, applications, and easy device management," Jason Mendenhall, CEO of CTL, said in the release. "And, as a B Corp, we are excited about how this plug-and-play device can breathe new life into outdated interactive displays that may no longer be supported, saving budget and e-waste."

The device supports any interactive display with a standard OPS port, offering plug-and-play operation, enhanced security features inherent to ChromeOS, and streamlined IT management through the Google Admin console. CTL also highlights a lower total cost of ownership due to reduced IT burden and extended life with Google Automatic Updates through 2032. CTL will offer various licensing options, including Chrome Education Upgrade and Chrome Enterprise Upgrade.
