Cricket Communications and Info Touch Technologies partner to offer new E-Wiz technology

June 13, 2004

MEMPHIS--Cricket Communications and Info Touch Technologies (IFT:TSX Venture) have partnered to offer Cricket customers a new, more convenient way to pay their cellular phone bills.

According to a company press release, most Exxon Tigermarkets throughout Memphis will be furnished with "E-Wiz" kiosks. These free-standing kiosks will allow customers to pay their Cricket bill, surf the Internet, access and send e-mail and photos, research and print travel maps and directions, and much more.

Cricket bills can only be paid in cash, while the other services can be purchased with cash or a credit or debit card. There is a $3 charge for Cricket customers to pay their bill at the kiosks.

"We are excited that ExxonMobil Tigermarkets will offer this new technology that gives customers a more convenient way to take care of daily business, such as accessing e-mail, paying bills and surfing the Web," said Nitu Arora, area general manager for Cricket Communications. "We're looking forward to being part of a growing technology focused on serving customers in more convenient ways."

The E-Wiz kiosk technology was developed by Info Touch Technologies and utilizes its SurfNet Premiere software to power the kiosks.

"Our SurfNet Premiere software was designed with this exact application in mind," said Hamed Shahbazi, chief executive officer of Info Touch Technologies. "Users love the simple design, which is one reason for its unprecedented success."

The E-Wiz services will expand to include money transfer, money-order purchasing, other bill payment, prepaid telecommunications and prepaid mobile phone content such as games and ringtones. Plans are to partner with additional companies to offer these services in the coming months.

[Editor's note: Info Touch Technologies became Tio Networks in April 2006.]
