Payments company Creditcall announced it has partnered with point-of-sale peripheral manufacturer ID TECH to offer EMV chip-card acceptance to retailers, kiosks and vending machines. ID TECH's card readers will have the backing of Creditcall's EMV SDK ChipDNA, according to the press release.

ChipDNA can be utilized for Windows or Linux, and it comes with a reporting and management tool, as well as point-to-point encryption, according to the release. In addition, Creditcall has SDKs for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets.

"Creditcall's partnership with ID TECH will give merchants an unprecedented opportunity to upgrade their existing POS quickly and easily, saving them time and money," said Sian Bosley, vice president of business development, Creditcall. "Our simple SDKs help fast-track EMV chip-card acceptance for developers, by removing the complexities around EMV certifications and also include strong transaction security with P2PE."

The system will be integrated with ID TECH's new Augusta and August S card readers for retail POS, as well as the Vend III for self-service devices.

"The integration of ID TECH's Augusta hybrid reader with the Creditcall's EMV SDK is a fast, seamless and extremely cost effective path to EMV transactions in conjunction with Creditcall's EMV-ready payment gateway," said Bill Rorick, vice president of business development, ID TECH. "With the same basic envelope and identical mounting as our very popular SecureMag swipe readers, the switch from magnetic transactions to chip-card transactions is almost as simple as just swapping out the reader."
