The Crayola Experience had its grand re-opening in Easton, Pa., this past weekend, introducing participants to interactive media designed to animate the blending of art and technology.
Eighteen exhibits inspire hands-on computer exploration and interactive learning, according to the news release, with iPad kiosk stations designed and installed by Tryten Technologies. Users can create works of art on the screens and then watch as the art is broadcast onto background walls.
For example, children standing at the kiosk can design and color a fish character that joins a huge ocean scene wall display. The fish will interactively move through the ocean based on the motions of the artist, according to the release.
Another Crayola Experience exhibit is the "Be A Star" coloring page photo booth. Users push a button, pose with their favorite Crayola character and watch as their image appears as a coloring page on a display screen. The image can then be printed onto a t-shirt, puzzle or canvas.
"This brand and this business is fundamentally about sparking the creative spirit that we believe exists in the heart of every child... creativity has to be experienced. And that's what this place is all about," said Mike Perry, CEO of Crayola.
