West Haven, Connecticut will have its first EV charging station at city hall. Student electricians under the direction of Mike Siefker, department head at Eli Whitney Technical High school, are installing the charging station, according to a New Haven Register report.
Control Module Inc. a manufacturer, donated the 240-volt charger under a pilot program sponsored by the Greater New Haven Clean Cities Coalition Inc.
The charging station is a cooperative project of the West Haven Department of Public Works and the Hamden electrician training program.
