Company to launch secure payment system for taxi, restaurant kiosks

Boston-based Revosys has launched plans to implement Payment Processing and Digital Video Recording in a number of its In-Taxi and Restaurant Kiosk solutions.

The Revosys Interactive V5 allows credit card and debit card processing for swift and effortless payments, according to a company press release. It offers an all-in-one system so there is no need for an external PIN pad or additional credit card terminals.

The Interactive V5 In-Taxi system features a PCI PTS 3.0 approved Secure Touchscreen for PIN debit entry. It can process traditional magnetic stripe cards (Triple DES Secure), Smart Cards (VISA, M/Chip-MasterCard, American Express, JCB) and contactless payments as well as NFC (Near Field Communication) for contactless cards and cellphones equipped with contactless payment capability, according to the release.

The system is highly secure, according to the release, with its Digital Video Recording feature, an integrated surveillance system that records a live video stream from a taxi cab, bus, train or vehicle.
