Commercial-grade tablet provider adds software management for kiosk and digital signage deployments

Traverse City, Michigan-based Applied Device Technologies has certified PROVISIO's SiteKiosk Android application and SiteRemote management platform for use on its PROPORT commercial tablet for kiosk and digital signage use.

The Android-based commercial tablet from AD Technologies can be deployed as a kiosk, point-of-sale terminal, digital signage display, business process solution and more, AD Technologies said. SiteKiosk is a software application that locks down a publicly used device and protects the operating system against any kind of unwanted user manipulation. It can also be configured to allow access only to desired websites, programs and folders.

Our robust tablet features a rich Android platform, and PROVISIO's SiteKiosk software will provide businesses with the tools necessary to create compelling, engaging and secure installations for their purposed device applications," AD Technologies VP of Sales Dan McKean said in the announcement.

PROVISIO CEO Heinz Horstmann said his company's software "turns the PROPORT tablet into a secured, powerful, interactive, self-service device or digital signage display running multimedia campaigns when the device is connected to our remote management platform."
