Coinstar held its investor conference this week and revealed it will continue the re-branding effort aimed at distancing the company from its namesake coin-counting kiosks. Coinstar's board will vote to approve the company's name change to Outerwall during an annual meeting in June, Bloomberg reported.
Also discussed during the conference were the company's plans to relocate Redbox DVD rental kiosks from poor-performing locations.
Coinstar will continue to roll out the Rubi coffee kiosks and push the Redbox tickets concept, the article reported, as well as leverage its 35 percent stake of Redbox Instant by Verizon.
