Coinstar adds retailers to no-fee lineup

Several more restaurants and retailers are now participating in Coinstar's no-fee gift card program.

When consumers put the full value of their coin pour onto a participating retailer's gift card, Coinstar does not charge a coin-counting fee. Chili's Grill & Bar, Maggiano's Little Italy, Papa John's, and Toys"R"Us are some of the newest retailers to join the list, according to a Coinstar press release.

"Especially during the holidays, consumers look forward to coming to Coinstar and cashing in their coins...for many it's a family tradition," Engle Saez, vice president, category management and consumer engagement at Coinstar, said in the release. "By expanding our family of America's favorite brands we are providing consumers more shopping variety, and because there's no fee, more value as well."
