Coinme, a cryptocurrency/cash exchange in the U.S., will launch 23 bitcoin-enabled Coinstar kiosks located at select Shaw's, Hannaford Supermarkets and Tops Friendly Markets grocery stores, giving Vermonters access to bitcoin, according to a press release.

This expansion brings the Coinme-enabled Coinstar kiosk network to over 9,500 locations across 49 states.

"With Coinme, we are providing a vital bridge for people to participate in the digital economy," Jim Gaherity, CEO of Coinstar, said in the press release.

The only things required are a valid mobile phone number, a driver's license or state I.D. card and cash in U.S. dollars.

Users can access bitcoin in four steps:

1. Create a Coinme account.
2. Find a Coinstar kiosk.
3. Insert cash into kiosk (coins not accepted for bitcoin transactions).
4. Redeem and receive bitcoin.
