LOUISVILLE, Ky., Jan. 28, 2005 - Producers of The Kiosk Show have announced the seminar schedule and speakers for their upcoming show. Speakers will include David Meany, Cisco Systems' senior executive management advisor for Retail Practice Internet Business; Jim Garrett, president of Accelerated Growth Partners and Dr. Sylvia Berens, vice president of Apunix Computer Services.
The Kiosk Show will be held Feb. 22 - 23 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
Self-service is an efficient way companies can lower the cost of doing business and, at the same time, improve customer satisfaction. The Kiosk Show educates companies about how they can implement kiosk and other self-service technology. The show has workshops, seminars and discussions, together with vendor exhibits, to further attendees' education about this exciting way of doing business. It is the only kiosk and self-service show created specifically for the end-market.
Scheduled are:
• Jim Garrett, president of Accelerated Growth Partners, will present the keynote address, Transfer of Power: Co-creating the Ideal Customer Experience. Garrett will discuss marketing solutions to ensure short- and long-term success, analysis for application viability, using kiosks for real-time decision processes, and creating environments that will bring customers back again and again.
• David Meany, senior executive management advisor for Cisco Systems Retail Practice Internet Business. His topic will be Future Trends in Retail Technologies. Retailers are gearing up for revolutionary changes in how they deal with customers, employees and vendors. Meany will discuss how kiosk technology will assist retailers in making these changes.
• Alex Richardson, managing director, Selling Machine Partners, will present 10 Ways to Create an Enterprise Kiosk RFP.
• Dr. Sylvia Berens, vice president, Apunix Computer Systems, and Jerry Mark, chief executive officer, Technology Portals, Inc. Their topic is Navigating the Road to a Successful Kiosk Deployment. They will use TPI as one of several case studies to illustrate key challenges to successfully deploying and implementing kiosk technology.
Industry leaders will present a total of 10 seminars focused on kiosks in retail, grocery, financial and travel and hospitality. In addition, five pre-show workshops will be available to attendees for an additional cost. They are:

• A Methodology for Determining the Investment Required to Deploy a Kiosk Program by Dr. Sylvia Berens, Apunix Computer Systems.
• Using Media to Promote Your Business by Joseph Grove, editor of Kiosk magazine and NetWorld Alliance vice president and associate publisher.
• An In-Depth Look at Kiosk Systems and Integration by Francie Mendelsohn, Summit Research Associates.
• Understanding and Maximizing the Return on Your Kiosk Investment by Alex Richardson, managing director, Selling Machine Partners.
• The State of the Art in Kiosk and Self-Service Solutions, a general session by Bob Fincher, executive vice president of sales and marketing, NetWorld Alliance.
